Alex Varela is a native Chicagoan, but moved to Texas as fast as he could! Alex grew up in the mid
cities area and graduated from Grapevine High School in 2000. Later he received his Bachelors
Degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of North Texas. As an entrepreneurship major and
with a passion for creating a new small business, the mortgage industry was a natural fit because
you are required to operate your own small business within a larger corporate structure.
Alex has grown his business by using old fashion customer service. He is one of the few in
his industry that still makes house calls, sets evening appointments, and Saturday appointments to
ensure that clients completely understand the mortgage process and clearly understand the terms and
fees of their financing.
With over 9 years of experience and serving hundreds of clients, Alex has found a way to
expedite the mortgage process within 15 business days from start to finish! Alex has become an
expert in the home buying process as well as creating a streamlined system to refinance a home. Not
only does he refinance homes faster than any major bank, but allows clients to close in the comfort
of their own home.
Alex joined the PrimeLending team in July of 2008 and has since been recognized yearly as one
of their PrimeLending Power Producers. He finds himself amongst the top 50 (in regards to volume
and units funded) loan officers in one of America’s largest mortgage banks. Dealing with this type
of volume and number of loans it gives Alex a unique advantage of working with all types of loans
and clients. It enables him to find creative solutions for the savviest consumer and for some of
the toughest loans to get financed.
“It’s an honor to serve clients in this capacity. Financing a home is one of the largest
financial transactions Americans experience and one of the most personal. I have been humbled over
the years to be a trusted advisor for many new and most importantly repeat clients. I hold my
entire team accountable for being courteous and competent. I look forward to serving you!” –Alex
